Oflox-D Eye Drop is a combination of medicines that is used to treat various types of bacterial eye infections. It prevents the growth of the bacteria that cause infection in the eyes. It also relieves the symptoms of inflammation such as redness, itchiness, and irritation. Oflox-D Eye Drop is to be used as per the label instructions or as suggested by your doctor. This medicine must be applied only to the affected eye and use it regularly to get the most benefit. The course of the medicine should be completed even if you feel better. Oflox-D Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines : Ofloxacin and Beclometasone. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It treats bacterial eye/ear infections by preventing the bacteria from dividing and repairing. It does so by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. Beclometasone is a steroid. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make your eye red, swollen and itchy.
