About this Medicine
Rafacol LS Tablet CR belongs to a group of medicines called steroids. It is used to treat moderate to severe ulcerative colitis. It helps relieve pain and inflammation caused by the condition. Rafacol LS Tablet CR can be taken with or without food. To get maximum benefit of the medicine, take it regularly and at the fixed time of each day. Do not discontinue taking the medication without talking to your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.Rafacol LS Tablet CR may cause few common side effects such as mood changes or stomach upset. Taking Rafacol LS Tablet CR can also make it harder for you to fight off infections. Tell your doctor if you have any signs of infection such as fever or sore throat.
How it Works
Rafacol LS Tablet CR is a steroid. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that cause the inner surface of the large intestine (colon and rectum) to become ulcerated and inflamed (swollen) resulting in pain.
