Solitral Capsule ER is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. It helps to relax the muscles of the bladder and prostate gland and relieve pain and irritation. It also helps to regulate the urge to pass urine. Solitral Capsule ER may be prescribed alone or in combination with other medicines. It is best taken with food. Take it regularly at the same time each day to get the most benefit from it. You should not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor. However, you should not stop taking the medicine until your doctor tells you it is okay to stop.Using this medicine may cause few common side effects such as dizziness, headache, tiredness, dryness in the mouth, blurred vision, and constipation. If any of these side effects persist or get worse, let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent the side effects.To make sure the medicine is safe for you, before taking this medicine, let your doctor know all the other medicines you are taking. Let your doctor also know if you have any problems with your heart, liver, or kidneys. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor first before taking this medicine. You should avoid consumption of alcohol while on treatment with this medicine as it can be harmful.
Solitral Capsule ER is a combination of two medicines: Alfuzosin and Solifenacin which relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Alfuzosin is an alpha-blocker while Solifenacin is an antimuscarinic. They work by relaxing the muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. This prevents frequent, urgent or uncontrolled urination.
