Sulpha FH Eye Drop is a combination medicine used in the treatment of bacterial eye infections. It works by killing microorganisms that cause infection. It also blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that make the eye red, swollen, and itchy. Sulpha FH Eye Drop is to be used as per the label instructions or as suggested by your doctor. This medicine must be applied only to the affected eye. Use it regularly to get the most benefit. The course of the medicine should be completed even if you feel better. You must wash your hands before administering the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose.Generally, this is a safe medicine. However, it may cause mild and temporary irritation in the eye. Consult your doctor if any side effects persist or worry you. If you experience any allergic reaction (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc.), you must seek immediate medical help.Before using it, tell your doctor if you have an underlying disease or are taking medicines for any health condition. How it Works

Sulphacetamide is an antibiotic which stops bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication. This treats your infection. Hydrocortisone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy. Phenyl Mercuric Nitrate is a preservative.
