Vasicon Eye Drop is a prescription medicine used to treat allergic eye diseases. It provides temporary relief from redness and discomfort due to minor eye irritations and burning and irritation due to dryness of the eye. Vasicon Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of the treatment even if you feel better.Use of this medicine may cause a burning and stinging sensation on application. These effects are usually temporary and resolve with time. However, if they persist or worsen, inform the doctor. In case of accidental contact with your ears, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse that area with water.Inform the doctor if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients in this medicine or are taking any other medication. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery immediately after using this medicine, as it may cause temporary blurring of vision and affect your ability to drive.
How it Works
Vasicon Eye Drop is a combination of naphazoline and pheniramine. Naphazoline is a decongestant that narrows the swollen blood vessels of the eye to relieve inflammation (redness and swelling). Pheniramine works as an antagonist to allergic symptoms resulting from inappropriate histamine release and reduces itching, edema, and redness in the affected eye.
